07:39 AM ET 03.26 | In his latest blog entry at NBA.com, Gilbert Arenas talks about the disappointment he felt when team doctors did not clear him to play Sunday night against Detroit. Arenas, who joined the team for a five-game trip that opened here Tuesday night, will be reevaluated at some point next week and said he plans on making his return at Verizon Center. In the blog, Arenas writes: "It was just me and my car speeding -- something I shouldn't be doing. Then I got that thought that I know everybody gets once in awhile. I was like: 'You know, what if I just ran my car into this pole right here?' I don't know why I thought that, but I just kept going with it: 'Then, I can jump off the road into this lake and just swim or drown. Whichever comes first.' " Fortunately for Arenas and his family, he instead returned to Verizon Center to watch his team's win over the Pistons. Explained Arenas, "I'm a sane person, I wouldn't do that to myself." The odd entry helps explain Coach Eddie Jordan's answer when he was asked about how he helps Arenas mentally get over the injury.

That was a really strange post. I don't know about anyone else, but I never thought about wrapping my car around a post or driving off a bridge . . .. maybe I'm not normal?

That's one thing for Kobe to call out the GM who co-signs his checks. Neither Kobe nor MItch went to school, in the traditional sense, to be a player/GM. But isn't it a different thing for Arenas to question 'doctors' who went to specialized schools to be doctors/specialists? I commend his passion and drive, but the man has as big a mouth as the shots he makes sometimes.

does he have the same screws loose as Artest? So someone with sucidal thoughts wants a max contract and be the face of a franchise...........this has New York or Miami written all over it. come on Zeke or Pat......you know you want to pull the trigger on this one. That would be the all time classic!!
