Guevara close to MLS deal

Negotiations between Amado Guevara, the 2004 MVP who left MLS to play in Honduras, and the league should be resolved by the end of today. According to one source, the sides are "still in discussions but looking positive at this point." Chivas USA maintained his MLS rights and, if a deal is struck, would probably trade him. Toronto reportedly is very interested.

It's Not!

Could be a big boost in Toronto. Could be a big boost anywhere. As a Fire fan, he would be HUGE and would probably make the Fire's attack the most fearsome in the League.

I watched him play last night for Honduras against Colombia (Honduras 2 Colombia 1). He had some good moments and some typical brain farts. I really think he's realized the error of his ways. MLS is the best he's ever gonna do.

I think after a few games in MLS he will be at least somewhat like the guevara of old

Guevara's a heck of a player, and I'd be glad to see him come back to the place where he belongs, the MLS. He could help Toronto a whole ton.

He will surely boost Toronto FC and I think he realizes now that he can't afford to make the same mistakes he made in the past.
