Jefferson returning to USC
Posted: Friday March 28, 2008 08:07AM ET
A source close to USC freshman Davon Jefferson emphatically said Thursday that the 6-foot-8 forward would return for his sophomore season instead of declaring for the NBA draft. "He is not declaring for the draft," said the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity. "He has not hired an agent nor will he hire an agent. He looks forward to going back to USC and is 100% committed to the team."

Report Offensive CommentOnly a small amount of freshman should ever enter the NBA, and he's not one of them yet. Stay and develop more skills. The NBA will still be there in a year or 2.

Report Offensive Commentcertainly this is good news for USC, if true. Jefferson ia actually a stronger player than HotDogMayo. I agree with SoxSideIrish88 -- if both Mayo and Jefferson paly next year, USC will contend for national title -- depending upon what the UCLA guys do

Report Offensive CommentSucks for us Bruin fans. Davon took us apart in the first game this year. He's an awesome athlete. Man, he'd be the oldest "sophmore" in school history if he didn't go to $C =p

Report Offensive CommentSmart move on his part. I only expected him to go pro because he's a 21 year old sophomore.
Still think Gibson and Mayo leaves.
