A friend of Ricky Williams said he has never seen the running back more determined and that Williams speaks of wanting to be one of the NFL's three to five best backs. Bill Parcells, who told Williams he believes in him, has pushed the right buttons, and Williams knows he needs money for his family.

Sounds like Ricky is going to toe the Bill Parcells line.
Good for him. Hope he achieves his goals.
Until he plays the Patriots, that is.

Ricky Williams is the John Daly of football. To concerned about his next hit (or drink in John's case) to handle reality. He will be good in practice for a while then the old habits will start coming through. He doesn't have a long attention span. Again, what a waste of good talent.

How old is WIlliams anyway ?

never seen the running back more determined..

so if he is 100x more determined than last season = .0001 x 100 = why bother

money for his family? or money for his dealers family ?

March 30, 2008  10:17 AM ET

Sounds like they both enjoyed a good smoke together.

He never suffered any SERIOUS injuries. That play where he was intentionally stepped on last year was freakish. I think he can do it, especially if he gets the carries. Just needs to put on a few more lbs of muscle and he should be as good as new.

Sounds likes someone is getting fired up.

He must have sold Parcells some of that Sour Diesel

March 30, 2008  11:01 AM ET

He must of pushed the "weed button"

Hank hill...moron...for both the name, comment, and picture! That show is awful...

Neways - Ricky WAS 1 of the top 5 Rb's before he left Miami "high" and dry..Led the NFL in rushing, and single handely carried the Dolphins when they had Jay Fielder as the QB..(cmon now)

I hope for ricky's sake he can prove he's a solid RB..but there is no way in the world he reaches his desire to be a top 5 rb again.

Ricky is older, but has had a few years off so we shall see what Parcells has cooked up for him...trade bait?

March 30, 2008  11:19 AM ET

I guess the reality of being broke is what it took to motivate him.
Perhaps he decided he wants more from life than being a lenny kravitz roadie.
Parcells to ricky....Are ya gonna go my way ??

Little boxes on the hillside, Little boxes made of tickytacky
Little boxes on the hillside. little boxes all the same

There's a green one and a pink one and a blue one and a yellow one
And they're all made out of ticky tacky and they all look just the same.

KP, Ricky will be 31 in May.

With Ronnie Brown coming back from injury then need Ricky. Here's hoping he really is motivated.

March 30, 2008  03:25 PM ET

And while no he was never injury prone, 2 years ago he broke his leg......last year he missed alot of time with an injury.....whats that? he is aging and has 2 straight injured years? hmmmm.......
