Bennett won't pursue Indiana job
Washington State coach Tony Bennett didn't take long Sunday to let Indiana University know he wasn't interested in pursuing its men's basketball coaching job. After what was termed "preliminary discussions" with IU athletic director Rick Greenspan late Saturday, Bennett told the Spokane (Wash.) Spokesman-Review that he was staying with the Cougars. Greenspan had received permission from Washington State athletic director Jim Sterk to speak with the coach. "I had an exploratory conversation with Indiana,'' Bennett told the newspaper Sunday, "and I am not going to pursue the Indiana job.'' When asked if he had been offered the Indiana position, Bennett said he had not.

IU won't get a big name head coach. I don't know why people think they will.

No one will take that job until they find out what if any sanctions the NCAA levels on IU. Except Bobby Petrino, he might take it.

Bennet isn't going anywhere. He has already turned down IU and Cal, which are the two biggest jobs on the market right now.

Tony Bennett will not leave us here at the ZZU!!... thought we are very scared of it happening.
I could see him going to LSU ( thats where his wife is from ).
My girlfriend works in a local coffee shop and was told by a "close friend of Mrs. Bennett" that she is very unhappy here and wants to leave.... There is a story for Truth or Rumors!
He would be an idiot to leave the best conference in the nation, though in a couple of years a multi million dollar contract at a place of pristiege will end up punching his ticket.
We are on the map because of this GOD and pulled one of the best recruiting classes in the history of WSU. We return a lot of talent and should make a run for the PAC10 title next year ( if we have all the large amount of pac10 pro defects that is expected).
Anyway who would want to go to IU after all the trouble they will be in?
