Agent: Kielty may leave Red Sox
Boston's Bobby Kielty has until today to exercise an "out" clause in his contract that would allow him to become a free agent because he is not on the team's 25-man roster. On Saturday, Kielty said he told Theo Epstein he would accept an assignment to Triple A Pawtucket, ready to bide his time until the Sox opened a roster spot, presumably by trading center fielder Coco Crisp. But yesterday, Kielty asked Epstein for another day to consider his options. Kielty's agent called, telling him he might have a spot for him on another big league team.

I think that Epstein does the telling around the Red Sox issues. They do not need him....with the steroids deal takeing over MLB....how can a team win several titles in a short span. If the boys any good he should be able to find a job.

They need to release JD Drew's broken down wagon, and put Ellsbury in right and Coco in center. They should have never signed J-DL Drew. Then Kielty has a spot.

He's not going to find a starting job now, and even if they do send him down to AAA, he'll be up as soon as they find a taker for Crisp. If he does refuse and leaves, no biggie, as I am sure that any trade involving Coco could include a 4th outfielder, or they could bring up Brandon Moss.

First of all the hell with Kielty. Second trade Crisp very soon and third, let Moss be the 4th O.F.

Kaycee, you do realize that opening day for Moss was a fluke, right? The man has hit .280 in AA and AAA the last two years with minimal power (12HR in AA, 16 in AAA) and a TON of strikeouts and a K/BB ratio around 5/2 (150/60 in AAA)

I heard a rumor that the Cubs are looking for a trade. Is that true?

Actually i live so close to McCoy Stadium that I've seen Moss play many times. He is as good and much younger and cheaper than Kielty. Forget Crisp he will be traded !!!

If anybody would take him, I'd love the Sox trading J-D.L. Drew for anything or anyone, then sticking Jacoby in right and leave Crisp in center. Drew is an overpaid, underperforming drag on the team.
