Olson on divorce, personal leave

Arizona basketball coach Lute Olson said it was more than his pending divorce that prompted him to take a personal leave. Olson, clarifying an interview he gave ESPN.com Friday, told the Citizen on Sunday that "stress and anxiety" related to "a combination of things" forced him to miss the season. Olson would not specify what the "combination of things" were, except to say he feels "great" now. Two weeks ago, Olson issued a statement admitting he had been out with a "medical condition that was not life-threatening, but serious enough to require time away from my coaching responsibilities."

I have heard some rather interesting rumors about the situation surrounding Lute's 'lost year.' If there is a grain of truth to them, I can only be impressed by the scope of his power and influence in not only keeping these rumors out of the news (I had to pick my jaw up off of the floor upon hearing them.) but in his ability to have such utter control over the terms of his comings and goings. I stand truly in awe.

I think it's truthful a divorce can be pretty stressful, even more so when a lot of money is involved
