Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez received his fourth verbal commitment for the 2009 recruiting class -- and his third in the four days -- when Youngstown (Ohio) Liberty safety Isaiah Bell pledged, according to thewolverine.com.

The second db from Ohio recruited in about as many days...

April 1, 2008  08:50 AM ET

This doesn't mean anything.

The sole purpose of this story is to create cross-fire between Michigan & Ohio State fans....and sadly, it will succeed.

April 1, 2008  09:05 AM ET

This dude must not want to win a natl title.. what a moron..... a dude from ohio attending michigan.....it will be 3 4 years before michigan is competitive .

April 1, 2008  10:17 AM ET

Michigan will probably become a force again in as said above 3-4 years. I feel sorry for players that go there now-it will be hard to play without a QB.. Does any one know if the Buckeyes even wanted this guy??

April 1, 2008  10:47 AM ET

He was on the their radar, but do not beileve he was offered..

April 1, 2008  10:50 AM ET

Let's get something straight here.....RR is FOR REAL. And he and his team will show they CAN RECRUIT. And I just learned from Sam Webb, radio host and recruiter guru for GWB.COM, all three the recent verbals all attended Michigan's practice. Two of them on the day that BOREN left the team. Seems that these kids didn't find much problem with how UM practices and verballed soon after they saw the practice. Sorta diffuses what JB stated as the new kids are completely pumped how UM is doing things now.

So to you UM haters, put that in your bong and smoke it, ya blowhard haters!

April 1, 2008  11:09 AM ET

Warden_ I hope RR is for real because the tougher the Big 10 is the better it is for both you and the Buckeyes.. Just remember don't keep blinders on about coaches and players!! I admit the Buckeyes have had bad in both but most Mich. fans I know don't admit anything that is negative!

I'm sure were not there at these practices so you have no way to know 100% sure what happened so please don't act like you do.

April 1, 2008  11:10 AM ET

When all is said and done, OSU will rue the day they let this kid go to the good guys.

April 1, 2008  11:16 AM ET

Like you might rue the day we took your QB for this year away from you??

April 1, 2008  11:19 AM ET

Warden PS I'm not a Mich. hater unless an arrogant Mich. fan go over board with there comments!!!

April 1, 2008  11:23 AM ET

Who's arrogant? Not me. I give kudos to O$U when they deserve it. And yes, JR, UM might have fits dealing with TP once he comes into maturity as OSU's QB. It's too bad we don't have boosters who can up the ante for recruits! :)

April 1, 2008  11:24 AM ET

Forgot to add that if anyone is arrogant, it's OSU fans. You guys are so arrogant you think you can pee and poop in public on the streets of Columbus on Sat morning before game day! UM fans aren't quite as arrogant as that to pull such an act.

April 1, 2008  11:30 AM ET

Hey, I've heard some one say this before.. Do some of fans REALLY do that???
Warden_ I KNOW that we have arrogant fans too, every team does...I have some great friends that are Mich. fans and then I have some I can't watch a game with...
I do hope Pryer does not turn out to be another Clarret, cause I know it is a possibility.. I truely don't believe OSU has boosters that pay for recruits-now come on --you've got to know that NCAA would NOT allow that . They are always on us like stink on S_H_I_T..

April 1, 2008  11:32 AM ET

I actually saw some UM girls peeing on the golfcourse in Ann Arbor lst fall, just sayin...

I dont know too much about the kid, I know there isnt alot of info on him at bucknuts.com, thats where I usually look for OSU recruiting news...

This isnt all that unordinary, alot of good players go to Michigan from Ohio --- Howard, Woodson, etc. So its not a shock to me at all...

April 1, 2008  11:34 AM ET

JR. it happens more than you can realize at EVERY school...

April 1, 2008  11:36 AM ET

Without getting into all of the P*** and S*** of the matter (good grief people), let's get back to the facts of the situation:

This is an under-the-radar prospect who is still growing. Going to be tough to keep him quick and fast enough to stay at Safety. I'm guessing he will end up being a Will linebacker in college so he can run the field.

Also, though he is a pretty nice prospect, I think this was equal parts interest in Bell and interest in securing a commitment from his teammate - a speedy slot receiver who has Michigan on the brain as well.

April 1, 2008  11:40 AM ET

Kraz-As I said I wish Mich. luck in every game other when they play the Buckeyes. The better the Big 10 looks the better it is for both of us!!!

LOL I have had to pee places that I am not proud of, I think beer made me do it!! LOL But the pooping part is a bit much!!!!

April 1, 2008  11:40 AM ET

I think its rather funny that schools are recruiting pretty good friends so they can get to the real recruit..

If what you're saying is true thats kinda what it sounds like is going on with UM... Im sure the kid is good if you get an offer from UM you have to be good, but kinda funny that he could be a pawn to get something bigger...

April 1, 2008  11:52 AM ET

We have a kid from Wauseon that is going to Mich.. He is really a nice guy. He and his family were in a BAD car accident around Christmas.. He lost his Dad and his girlfriend in the accident. And his older brother is a quad as of right now.. NOW I wish him all the luck in the world at Mich... He is a great guy who I hope RR treats accordingly. Which I think he will because RR went to Mich. State Hospital to visit his brother.. See Buckeye fans every coach has good points too, I just wanted to share this one!!

I seem to remember a certain TP going to a school with a lot of his friends....
I'm not saying... I'm just saying...
