Boston College pair to transfer

05:33 AM ET 04.02 | Boston College announced that sophomores Shamari Spears, a forward, and Daye Kaba, a guard, have been granted releases from their scholarships and will transfer. Spears could wind up at Charlotte as he seeks more playing time closer to his home in North Carolina. With the additional scholarships, the Eagles are likely to focus on finding more size and they are concentrating on 6-11 Maurice Sutton from Largo (Md.) High School. He visited BC last week but has also drawn interest from Marquette, Kentucky, and North Carolina.
