Wild makes first move for Backstrom

09:11 AM ET 05.26 | The Wild has made its first contract proposal to Niklas Backstrom in hopes of re-signing the goaltender before he becomes a free agent July 1. General manager Doug Risebrough said Lynn plans to meet with Backstrom's agent in early June.
