Will Guillen serve suspension?
Posted: Tuesday April 08, 2008 07:37AM ET
Royals outfielder Jose Guillen must begin serving his 15-day suspension for violating baseball's drug policy after Wednesday's game unless officials from the commissioner's office and the players' union agree to another delay. The two sides are in negotiations to strengthen the game's drug policy under guidelines suggested by former U.S. Sen. George Mitchell after his investigation into performance-enhancing drugs.

Report Offensive CommentMabe if you forfiet the games played with hopped up players, the owners will become more serious with policing their players. And the tigers would finally get a win.LOL

Report Offensive CommentThe players are Gods and are above the law. When will you all learn that they do not have to play or go by the rules. I will not go to a game untell the league starts to in force the rules. But we all know that will never happen in Gods life's time. The reason is called money money money, so if the fans stand up and stop going just maybe the league will start to in force their rules.

Report Offensive CommentI'm a little confused........what is the delay?
He got caught, he's got to do the time.
Mitchell's 'let the past be the past' philosophy is insignificant in this case as he was caught BEFORE the report came out.

Report Offensive CommentNo suspensions just go forward. However, beginning right now, first offense one year suspension and second offense lifetime ban from baseball !!!
