Bouchard needs good playoffs

07:10 AM ET 04.08 | There's no simple reason Pierre-Marc Bouchard isn't locked into a long-term deal, Wild general manager Doug Risebrough said, but he promises it's not because he's waiting to see what Bouchard will do in the playoffs. Though in the same breath, the GM says, "Obviously, doing well in the playoffs helps his case."

so, the title says he needs a good playoff, but the GM says he doesn't. HE says it will help the kid's case. Of course it will, a good playoff always results in an increase in pay for contract year players. This article was really insightful. But he had better not hope for TOO good of a playoff, because the guy's only going to play 6 games...

It will be a good series. I would not be surprised if it went to 7 games but my hope is for the previous statement I made. As long as they are not cheap, dirty, Bertuzzi hits, I can't complain.

Is the air too thin in Colorado?? Wild in 6... Wild went 5-2-1 during the season, including a meaningless loss in a shootout to end the season where we sat starters, and your bush league team goes after Gaborik as time expires... Expect the Wild to repay in kind... I'm looking forward to seeing Derek Boogard drop the gloves with Joe Sakic... Expect to see the whole Wild Goon Squad in uniform tomorrow night. Also, good luck with suspect goaltending and terrible PP/PK play...

yeah it might happen... and it saddens me.... i would pay to see a fight between sakic and anybody... has it even happened before? i mean, how old is sakic? and also on another tangent - we need to think of a better name for them than the goon squad...
