Jon Kitna is on target already. Kitna, the Lions' starting quarterback and No. 1 prankster, scored a direct hit on his first victim of the season. Dan Orlovsky, a backup to Kitna, arrived at the locker room a week ago today for his regular workout with the team and got word he was in the process of being traded to the Colts.

Very nice Jon.

That is a pretty cruel prank getting Dan all excited.

Telling him he has to sign a long term contract with the Lions....now THAT would be a mean prank

I love it!!! No reason to be so serious - especially this time of the year...

April 8, 2008  07:57 AM ET

Are they sure it was Jon that pulled the prank on Dan? It sure sounds like something Drew Stanton would do.

April 8, 2008  08:19 AM ET

I guess playing for the Lions would make a man mean.

All-in-all, I'd say it ended up alright though..

April 8, 2008  08:56 AM ET

the team is already a joke...they don't need to be doing stuff like this :)

April 8, 2008  09:03 AM ET

Jon Kitna, is that what you want to be doing when j-e-s-u-s comes back, making fun of Dan Orlovsky?

Obviously you haven't been around many Christians, lol.

How cruel...when they finally told him the truth.

April 8, 2008  11:42 AM ET

yeah, i've never heard of a prank backfiring on the pranksters as bad as this one did. Orlovsky was definitely more pissed off when they told him the truth.

Shoulda said he was being traded to the Falcons or ordered to serve the rest of Vick's term. That would be funny.
