Artest: Return up to Kings fans
Nothing has changed about Ron Artest's stance toward this summer, as the Kings small forward said again that he isn't likely to opt out of his contract and become a free agent. But in the never-ending evaluation process that's going on in his mind, he said the way in which Kings fans perceive him certainly matters if he's going to consider staying in Sacramento.

Prepare for another year of not making the playoffs while playing for a rebuilding team. The sad thing is, their .462 record would be good enough to tie for an 8th seed in the East. Of course if they were battling for that seed, they would have a slightly better record.

Ugh, why does he care what the fans think? I hate athletes nowadays...or most of them that is...
Instead of worrying about his game...maybe working on those FT%'s...he is worried about whether the fans are going to kiss his arse...maybe scream things like...uh...BOO! when he misses a FT or whatever...
And he is likley still thinking he can be a rapper/record label manager/bball player/sensitive guy who goes off like an angry bruce banner if you hit him with a beer....

I live in Sacramento. I know there was a time Artest would put on alot of club events and stuff. That kind of accesibility is kind of cool. I've never been a Kings fan though, since I grew up in the Bay Area. If it was up to me I like having him in the community. He never punched me in the face. Then again I never threw my drink at him.

He can't focus- he has legitimate psycological issues.
He really needs (seriously speaking) a good psychological evaluation and get on some meds which can even him out.

With Artest what you see is what you get, if you can put up with the off court issues, then you get a solid player who gives your team some serious "D". I live in Sac and to be honest I think he's necessary for us, if we're serious about making playoff runs. Who knows, maybe maturity is setting in, and he will "Gel" here. Listening to him on a local radio station yesterday, I got the sense that he is at least aware that he needs to make some changes. That's an important first step.
