Gilbert Arenas played his third game as the sixth man last night, entering with 3 minutes 43 seconds left in the first quarter, and Wizards Coach Eddie Jordan said his plan is to keep Arenas in a reserve role when the playoffs begin next weekend. Jordan said he would continue to play Arenas 20 to 25 minutes per game while Arenas works his way back to speed. Arenas missed 66 games after having knee surgery and scored 30 points combined in his first two games. Arenas sat out Saturday as a precaution.

that bad sit him now
but start him in the playoffs

Thats good, after being injured for so long he would be a little bit rusty. They still need to do whatever is possible to keep that 5th seed, the season isn't over.

this guys is a loose cannon. He is a ball hog who does not make his teammates better. wants max contract money and top player respect but is no where in the same league as the elites such as Duncan, KG, Nash, Kobe, and Le Bron. He believes his own hype.

April 10, 2008  09:25 AM ET

Makes even better sense to bring him in off the bench

April 10, 2008  09:50 AM ET

keep him on the bench until he signs that low money contract to keep the team together and push over the next few years

April 10, 2008  10:11 AM ET

Yep, he's a ball hog...did any of you all watch the game last nite? He had 3 steals that he could have driven to the lane for lay-ups and passed them back to his teammates. Yep, that's a ball hog to me..

It worked against the Celtics. Why not roll with it.

Really an uninformed statement, you obviously do not follow the Wizards. You should kinda just keep your ignorance in your brain.

Dnt care what they do with him this year but i really hope they dnt give him that huge contract

I will tell you this and i've said it before, the East is deeper than you think, and the Wizards, at full strength is one of the reasons why.

You DO NOT want to play a healthy Wizard team that's rolling and hitting on all cylinders if you're Bos, Det, Orl or Cle. Like I said, the East is top-heavy those 5 teams (Cleveland just because of the LeBron factor, and we saw what can happen last yr when he decides to kick it into overdrive) can beat ANY Western teams on any given night, IN ANY BUILDING.

The East is easily 5 deep and the Sixers HAVE to be included right now with the way Mo Cheeks has them playing ball.

This blog tells you something about the Eastern Conference:
