Every day that Derek Jeter doesn't test his injured left quad muscle moves the Yankees shortstop closer to a stint on the disabled list. Out since leaving Monday night's game against the Rays at Yankee Stadium, Jeter said last night he wouldn't know when he will be able to play until he runs.

The Yankees aren't going to make the playoffs.

Is it true that Jeter hurt himself doing......you know.....with A-Rod. They are "buddies"?

If he is put on the DL, will that be Torre's decsision?

April 12, 2008  08:57 AM ET

Another homosexual joke! Funny!

Well, Alberto Gonzalez has looked pretty good and it's early in the season, so it's no biggie.

April 12, 2008  08:57 AM ET

Maybe he should get some of that HGH stuff all of his team mates use.

April 12, 2008  09:02 AM ET

Didn't his buddy A-Rod strike out 4 times in one game against the Royals earlier this week? That's funny.

April 12, 2008  09:04 AM ET

What do think would happen to Jeter's head if he got hit with it by a 98 mph fastball? Would it explode like a melon?

April 12, 2008  09:29 AM ET

I'm just glad I'm not a Yankee fan, how embarrassing would that be?

April 12, 2008  09:38 AM ET

**** like a broad wants everyone to know he doesn't like the Yankees!!!!

Alright, more endless spew from broahhead....

LOL!

April 12, 2008  10:23 AM ET

What sports team do the New Yourkers have to be excited about?

April 12, 2008  10:25 AM ET

Sports Team - Try the Giants for starters...

April 12, 2008  10:38 AM ET

Jeter could actually be hurting the Yankees in this instance. He has the winner attitude no doubt, and is the definition of team-leader/captain. But the more he drags this out and denies the possibility he may need to go on the DL, the more this could harm the Yankees in months to come.

EastCoastKeith - Agreed....

#1 astrofan,

Don't they play in New Jersey?. I'm actually very happy about the Giants. Very cool for the Mannings! I would like to see them repeat just so that Eli can one up Peyton. Plus, Strahan (sp?) makes me laugh.

However, I'm going to be even happier to see the Yankees finish in fourth place in the AL East.

There is more to MLB than the Yankees/Red Sux!

Hammy's are trickey, there is no doubt. If he goes on the DL, it will be reto-active. As for you pinhead, didn't your mother teach you manners?

April 12, 2008  11:46 AM ET

Broadhead - Your right about that one...I missed it, and I now have a hard time making an argument...

April 12, 2008  02:43 PM ET

Broadhead, you rip on the Windy City whenever you get the chance...you rip on NY...So, where exactly are you from? Not that we will hold you responsible for your birth curse, but what is it exactly that you do like...I mean asides from me in my speedo...

PS... When A-Rod struck out for the fourth time the other night, the announcer called it the "Golden Sombrero"...whatever the hell that means
