Ross Kenseth, Matt's 14-year-old son, plans to race regularly this season in the Big 8 Series for limited late models, beginning Sunday at Rockford (Ill.) Speedway. "I was in La Crosse when he ran up there (last fall), and he did a really good job up there," Matt said. "So we'll see."

Who knew that Matt had a 14 year old son? I sure didn't.

Geez, Matt doesn't look much older than 14 himself. What, did he father one when he was 10?

I like the picture = he looks like he just got done crying
News to me he had a kid also?

I'm sure that Ross will have a good racing career ahead of him if he sticks with racing. Matt will teach him stuff and Ross will get better.
Matt is 36 and has been racing since he was 16 years old. He started working on a car that he would later drive at age 13. Yes I know I know alot about Matt. The reason is cuz he's my favorite driver.

Can't wait to see Matt racing against his boy on Sundays (in a few years).

Quite a few drivers and such have gotten thier start in Rockford, Chad Knaus and Travis Kvapil just to name a couple, must be a good breeding ground.

I still remember those Sundays when Dale raced against Dale Jr.I sure do like that part of keeping NASCARS racing roots. Hope Matt's kid does good.

Just hope he has more of a personality than dad.
