Feds to ask Canseco about Clemens

Posted: Saturday April 12, 2008 09:18AM ET

Jose Canseco is expected to meet with federal authorities in California next week to answer questions in connection with the ongoing perjury investigation of Roger Clemens. The meeting is expected to occur in Los Angeles. Canseco's lawyer said it was his understanding that the IRS special agent Jeff Novitzky would be present to question Canseco. Novitzky has become the lead investigator in many of the cases nationwide involving professional athletes and performance-enhancing drugs.

It's Not!

Yankee fans have a lot to be embarrassed about.

Report Offensive Comment

Broadhead has lot to be embarassed about, too.

Report Offensive Comment

Hey, I'm not the one who got caught using steroids. That would be half of the Yankee roster.

Report Offensive Comment

Broadhead, there you go again with your broadhead up your arse, mumbling these same kinds of idiotic comments. Exaggerating roster numbers, and just basically having no class. Obviously your jealousy and resentment are showing and it is these emotions that motivate you. Why don't you change your name to knucklehead, as I have suggested in the past, better yet, so it may fit, call it pinhead...

Report Offensive Comment

I swear, Canseco has looked wasted in every picture I've ever seen of him.

Report Offensive Comment

Why can't canseco just kill himself . . . . . ?

Report Offensive Comment

In light of his sworn affidavit to Congress denying that Roger was never there, I wonder what he'll say now that photographic there is evidence of Roger at the party? How about the whole, "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" display with Debbie and Jose's wife?

Maybe someone should write a book: "Syringe's, Lies and Rubber Tytties." (Intentionally misspelled to get past the censors). Or, "Roger Clemens' Life Of Crime: Now You See Me, Now You Don't."

Report Offensive Comment

Oops, the old double negative. How about, "denying that he was EVER there . . ." That's what happens when you re-write on the fly.

I remember a time when every little league player wanted to be Jose Canseco. The difference 20 years make.

Report Offensive Comment

Roger Clemens was my idol when he played for the Red Sox. Even when he left, I thought he was the greatest pitcher the Red Sox ever had, and perhaps the best in major league history. It is really depressing that his ego made him become a cheater. In his prime (when he had a regular size head) he was almost unhittable. Then, like all of us he got older. We all just thought he got fat in his forties. Unfortunately, he got greedy. Too bad he just could not have admitted it. I still respect the player that he was in the 80s and early 90s. I just don't respect the liar he's become.

Report Offensive Comment

For being a "rat", Canseco must be telling the truth because i don't see players suing him, and the Feds wanting to talk to him. People forget this has nothing to do with using steroids, it has everything to do with lying to the Feds about it. The fact that Roger said he knew his wife's use of steroids tells me all I need to know.

Report Offensive Comment

Canseco should give a deposition to the Feds with the stipulation that he doesn't write any more books !!!

Report Offensive Comment

...and that friend you really trusted, just went and got you busted...

Report Offensive Comment

Gishhhhhhhhhhhhh! This is a typical example of how screwed up the Feds really are. I mean asking Conseco for reliable information about Clemens is like giving heroin to a heroin addict and asking him to tell the truth. Come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Report Offensive Comment

Heroin addict? Are you talkin' 'bout Aaron Kile? (Does anyone get this joke?).

Report Offensive Comment

does it matter there will be no punishment from the report so roidger can quit paying money to attorneys. wonder did he use barry's supplier of juice? both of their heads are freaking huge.

Report Offensive Comment

Copy that, it's sad. When Barry did it, no one was surpised, but when the Rocket gets implicated, man, that hurt. Let me 'esplain', I'm a life-long Dodger's fan, so naturally I hate Bonds, the steroid thing is an added bonus for Giant-haters. But the Rocket?!? That's just blasphemy. I for one hope nobody buys Loser Conseco's book, and at some point in time, we won't have to think 'bout if A-Rod, Roger, Barry or any other freakin athlete is hedging his odds, ilegally. Pretty soon it won't even matter, we'll just expect EVERY athlete to be on dope. Heehaw.

Report Offensive Comment

...and I think that Jose's hat would go great with Kyle Busch's shades.

Report Offensive Comment

Canseco's broke as a joke - why does this move surprise anyone?

Report Offensive Comment

So we don't know everything about Clemens, or at least we don't trust McNamee. So now we ask a guy that was on juice himself, may have connections with the Rocket, and just wants attention and extra cash? Bad move, feds.
