The Celtics should send the No. 5 pick, Gerald Green, Rajon Rondo, and Theo Ratliff's contract to the Grizzlies for Pau Gasol and Damon Stoudamire. The Celtics would get some veteran leadership to help mold their young talent and, with Pierce and Gasol, they should be able to make the playoffs in the Leastern Conference. And the Grizzlies can use the No. 4 and 5 picks to rebuild around a couple of Gators.

Plus, if the Grizz do draft a couple of Gators, maybe they could convince Billy Donovan to follow them to the NBA.

Send the #5, Theo Ratliff & Wally Szerbiack to the Wolves for Garnett. The contracts match up & Pierce/Garnett would be great together. Pierce would flourish when defenses collapse around Garnett in the paint. Garnett would give the Celtics 12-14 rebounds & 5-6 assists per game.

Pierce stays. The C's deal this off season, the rocket has a great idea. The draft pick will contribute. The Pats Tom Brady was a 6th round pick. You never now til' tip off.

Pierce has to make a decision soon in his career. He must decide whether he wants to be a winner or another guy with great career statistics and no championship ring.

I really think Horford is very underrated. If he is there, the Celtics should take him. Give him a year and he will be a 20 and 10 player, likely a perennial all-star. If Oden and Durant were not at the top we would all be drooling over his ability. He's not once in a generation like Oden or Durant could be, but he is going to be very, very good. Celts will be fine if they draft him and everyone will be surprised, except me and Horford.

i agree horford would be top pick w/o oden and durant. he probably won't be there for the celtics. if they can't make a trade to bring in some high quality help for peirce they should reward eveything he has done for them by trading him to a place where he is in a position to finish out his career with a contender instead of punishing him for the front office mistakes by making him play through a constant rebuilding. i mean how many years does it take to rebuild??

Pierce and Danny Ainge with the Celts ensures perennial mediocrity. Numbers are one thing, winning is another. Look at the Lakers. Has anyone noticed the Warriors this year? Team, coach, and front office in sync.

if they do keep the draft pick they should take mike conley and get a legit point gaurd

hes gonna stay in boston and be the dan marino type of guy. very good player but no ring. obviously marino wa one of the best qb's ever and pierceisnt one of the best players ever but the winning thing works haha

Pierce has got to get out of there and get to a championship team before his career ends. Boston is the worst team in basketball right now and is in a serious rebuilding mode. Even the Hawks and Blazers are better than this sorry club. Pierce could join the Spurs since Bowen will eventually retire. With Pierce in the lineup with Parker, Ginobli, and Duncan, this team would be unstoppable. Of course, if they can afford him and I doubt that.

Paul Peirce DESERVES a chance to play with a playoff contender. He has been paitently waiting for his young teammates to gel and they just have not did so. The celtics can still get something good back for Pierce if they trade him now.

No Pierce didn't want Oden or Durant so us not getting them is not going to be the excuse he gets to whine about if he doesn't get his own way.

I am sick of Pierce acting like he gets control of anything as it is. He signed a contract and a contract extension LAST YEAR so shut up already and just earn the money you wasted this season.

Pierce does NOT deserve a chance to play with a contender. He just signed a 3 year contract extension KNOWING full well what was going on here. Stop making him a martyr.

Pierce would not work with Duncan. He would not be a team player just like he has never been a team player in Boston and that includes when Walker was here.

Pierce is the only reason people follow the lowly Celtics anymore. He's said before it was a dream to play for the Lakers, and getting drafted by Bo-town was kinda of a downer because of that historic rivalry. I say trade Lamar Odom and Smush Parker or some crap for Pierce, then wait for KG to opt out of his contract or just trade Bynum or something for him then sign him. Kobe Pierce and KG, just a wild scenario, but so crazy it could happen. Pierce needs to get out of Boston, and KG needs to get out of Minnesota, period.

I hate teams that don't trade superstar players. Sure they're awesome and fun to watch, but they've proven they can't win the big one with some help. They guys been on ur team for a decade and you haven't made the playoffs in a decade, trade the player for a team. Even MJ had talent around him. It was fun for a little while, but its tme to go in a new direction, ala Houston Texans.

Lamar Odom and Smush Parker for Pierce!? We (New Englanders) may as well package him up in pretty little ribbons and just give him to LA huh? NOT!!!! Pierce averages nearly 25 per game and is an all-star. He is the PRIDE of the Celtics. I do agree that he should win a championship, but as a lifelong fan of a frustrating Celtics team, we can't just hand him away. I would love for him to end his career as a Celtic. What we need is a change in ownership and management. They are what's keeping the Celtics from winning! They are very cheap and do some of the dumbest trades in the NBA.

I say keep the #5 pick and take the steal of the draft in Corey Brewer!!!! He is gonna be a shut down player. Celtics front office, do something right for once and don't just jump to another stupid deal in desperation by giving half of our young talent away for an aging star. This kid will be special. GO GET HIM!!!!

The wolves arent going to want Wally back...hes injury prone and as far as sending him with just the #5 pick and theo...who the hell would want that . They are getting much better offers from other teams. WILL never happen
