Paul Lo Duca said he has "played it in my mind probably the last four months what's going to happen when I go there." Tonight at Shea Stadium in New York, he will find out how he is received by the fans of his former team, the New York Mets. "I got a great last name, because if they're booing me, I could just say, 'They're saying Duke!' " Lo Duca said. "I don't know. I really don't know. It's going to be very interesting." Lo Duca's offseason also included his prominent role in the report of former Senate majority leader George J. Mitchell on the use of performance-enhancing drugs in baseball. Lo Duca also expressed disappointment with Mets management for not bringing him back. He reiterated over the weekend that his departure from New York makes every game against the Mets more important to him.

Kaycee...are you saying you can't polish a turd?

April 15, 2008  12:48 PM ET

They will boo Lo Duca, but they really should be booing their own team...........pitching is awful, at best............the lineup is old, except for Wright (very good player), Reyes, (way, way overrated) and is very injury prone............they won't choke this year, 'cause they won't be in a postion to do so.........

I'd be very surprised if they booed LoDuca. He may not have been liked by management, but he was always a fan favorite. Plus, the fans saw how poorly his departure was handled by the front office.

Maybe they'll play some Saturday Night Fever music for him when he comes up to bat, just for old times sake. It would be a nice tribute.

When you try it let me know . i guess I don't really get your drift ???

He is hitting about .192 and not catching or throwing well. If the DC fans understood baseball, this would be a problem. Lally is SUPERMAN.
