Adu, Altidore dump agents

Freddy Adu, who has been with L.A.-based super-agent Richard Motzkin since signing with MLS at age 14, is in the market for new representation. Adu, who turns 19 in June, has decided to end his relationship with Wasserman Media Group and is in the process of interviewing potential replacements. The leading candidate is apparently IMG, the world's largest sports marketing firm which runs the IMG Soccer Academy in Bradenton, Fla. Adu spent a couple years at the U.S. residency camp in Bradenton before signing with MLS and joining D.C. United. Another prominent, young U.S. player, Jozy Altidore, is also looking for representation after leaving WMG.

This is a weak story. Agents in Soccer don't really do much. That's why half of these guys have their family as their representation.

J. HOVA - I did not know that, thanks. If not for that piece of information I think the day's trip to T & R would have been a waste.

I figured that there was a universal 'agent' form, of the type Plato theorized, that existed as a parasitic attachment to all professional sports. No offense to any agents that may be casually surfing the soccer rumors.

That's impossible. Altidore, Karim Benzema, Eto'o and Bojan are headlining my front line with Celtic. Following them I have Jesus Navas, Frank Ribery, Scott Brown, Silva, van der Vaart, Diego and Michael Bradley...

I always sign Adu in my FIFA manager mode with Celtic. Sometimes I play with Newcastle or Fulham and try to get all of the Americans possible.
