Umm... Have you seen Manny's assist numbers over the past 4 years? The guy isn't really losing much playing most of his games in a shallow outfield. And last time I checked we don't have any big-time Left Fielders waiting in the wings in Boston.

Manny is just fun to watch. He rarely argues balls and strikes. He rounded the bases last night after that blast faster than he goes after ball hit to LF. He just seems to have fun but his approach at the plate is a great.

btw, did anyone see the little 'nod' Tavarez gave Luis Tiant last night while he was pitching? i thought that was great. :-)

so how about Lowrie getting the start tonite. time to see this kid is action. i think they need to give youk a day off. he's been getting banged up lately. but sounds like casey is gonna sit and have youk back over at first and have the kid play third
