Do Falcons have a leader?

Lawyer Milloy would not say whether he was seeking a new contract or more compensation, claiming he has to focus on doing what he can to help the team, not himself. With the departure of so many veterans on offense, the leadership responsibility seemingly falls to Joe Horn, a 12-year veteran wide receiver who signed with Atlanta last summer and started most of the season, producing marginal results (27 catches, 243 yards, one TD).

A teams leader should never be a guy who was the #1 receiver for a divisional rival and came over at the end of his career.

Mike Smith will bring in guys that are going to help the team. One guy that is going to come up big for the Falcons is Ex-Jet FS Erik Coleman. This guy played is butt off for the Jets racking up tackles like crazy.

Smith will bring back the Falcons from their current state of craziness. Just as long as the Falcons don't waste a draft pick on Matt Ryan.

I thought a coach was your leader? You can only have One Leader....Leader One....Hey...Anyone remember Leader One?

From the Go-Bots? He was a jet that turned to a robot and lead the Guardians? That Ferrari robot...and that helicopter one...and that queer one that turned into a red scooter......

It would be neat to see Leader One with a Falcons Paint Job...now he can lead....

He's NO Optimus Prime Mind you....but still.............it would be cool.

The fact is that the Falcons need someone to step up and demand more from this team. Joe Horn would not seem to be a great player to fill this role but if no one else will step up then good for Joe.

i thought the falcons released milloy.

Keith Brooking is the obvious overall team leader. As for Horn, he is very likely to get cut. Milloy gets props for having been in the league a long time and may be KB's co-leader on D for the Falcons. But the question is, who is the leader on O?
