Young RB excites Badgers
John Clay's success this spring has been limited to a handful of open-field runs that have showcased his impressive mix of size and speed and have captured the attention of his teammates. "I like the way the kids respond to him," coach Bret Bielema said. "Offense and defense . . . when John starts running everybody gets quiet to see what he can do." Clay, an All-American at Racine Park who rushed for a combined 3,517 yards and 45 touchdowns as a junior and senior, redshirted last season. He opened spring practice on March 8 fourth on the depth chart and entered the final week of spring practice in that same position behind the experienced trio of P.J. Hill, Zach Brown and Lance Smith.

Is this AT Madison? VERY VERY tough place to play, especially when the sun goes down. WHICH, by the way I'm told increases the lebido of the Badger

That's the game UW has been pointing to since the season ended. It should be another bad year for the Big 10 (Iowa + Mich still down), so it's likely these 2 and the pesky Illini will be vying for the conference.
The Buckeyes should be top-3, and Badgers top-10. Of course, UW has disappointed in relation to the pre-season hype before.
And yes, it's very tough to play in Camp Randall when the sun goes down. I'm sure Buckeye fans remember '03(?) and Lee Evans.

IMO, PJ Hill was better before he decided to drop weight last season. If this kid is as good as they are making him out to be, UW would be stupid not to have a formation that puts all three of them on the field at the same time.

I remember when we were recruiting this guy. I think he was too fast for us, though. We used to like to recruit guys who run 4.6 and 4.7 in the 40 for RB. Otherwise they would run into our fat slow linemen who were blocking... air.
Jesus thank god that's over.

I follow the Big Ten very closely.. and all i have to say is.. watch out.. i think the Badgers are going to be good this year.. their stable of runningbacks and their uncanny ability to keep producing good offensive-lineman will make them a threat to challenge Ohio State for the conference crown
