Gordon, Deng may return to Bulls

This Bulls off-season will feature more twists and turns than a bad soap opera. But at its outset, at least, Ben Gordon and Luol Deng said their individual exit interviews Friday with general manager John Paxson left the impression both players are in the team's future plans. It's likely the Bulls will tackle free agency in July, during which they have a mid-level salary cap exception to offer players before addressing Gordon and Deng.

Can the Bulls move to Seattle??? There are just way too many things wrong with this team....... Find a way to get Derrick Rose or it's going to be a bad next few decades.....

Should have accepted the contract offer

Too right, sfpfc! I bet those two knuckleheads are regretting turning down those long-term deals. They're not going to get anywhere near that now.

As a resident of Seattle, I would welcome the Bulls, Yakisu21! However, I'm holding out for the N.O. Hornets. Now, that's a club to root for!

Isn't the past tense of Deng Dung? Or is it as in I Deng, you Deng, We Dung..??

"Gordon, Deng may return to Bulls"

They must have said, "Mother, may I"

To think, these guys could have been Lakers. Kobe would be home watching the playoffs instead of being Western Conference Champion and front runner for MVP!

Kobe = M-V-P M-V-P M-V-P

I bet that if Deng wants 10 mil he might be able to get it from Toronto...and I hope he does

April 19, 2008  03:21 PM ET

Deng wouldn't have been a Laker because Kobe was going to veto any trade that would have included him. Considering the Hawks made the playoffs this year I find it really hard to believe Kobe would not have been able to make the playoffs in the East regardless of what team he was on. He could singlehandedly carry almost any of the Eastern bottom dwellers into a playoff berth (except maybe Miami)

Why keep Gordon? Sign and trade him. Way too inconsistent.

April 19, 2008  05:52 PM ET

they need a star, they missed the boat last season. this group is going nowhere

April 19, 2008  07:33 PM ET

Why would you let deng go?????????????

April 19, 2008  08:07 PM ET

Gordan and Deng are key players on the bulls, they need to stay.

April 19, 2008  10:39 PM ET

If they're smart they'll leave. The Bulls are a mess.

That said, they both lost money this season. They'll never get offers like their extensions last summer. Gordon, esp., cost himself $15-25 million, at least.

April 21, 2008  10:15 AM ET

Ben's not going to get big money elsewhere. Who's going to pay a short shooting guard who can't play defense $15mil? Well, I know one team (the Knicks), but they are way over the salary cap...ha ha

What i'm upset about is that Kobe's rumors basically ruined the bulls season.
