More than a few eyebrows were raised this week when Steelers chairman Dan Rooney endorsed Barack Obama's presidential bid." Rooney didn't have to do it. He could have kept his thoughts private and controversy-free. Politics and football can make for strange bedfellows. But considering the source, Rooney's endorsement made perfect sense. "This is not something I do regularly, but as I listen to the candidates in this race, I am struck that we continue to hear about the problems and the same challenges that we have been talking about for decades," Rooney wrote in an open letter.

I'm endorsing Lou Dobbs or Jesse Ventura. I'm sure that means as much to you guys as the Steelers owner endorsing Obama.

If Rooney is a Dem, you cannot really blame him. His only other choice is Nurse Ratchett from "One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest." Golly...both candidates are just soooo incredibly qualified!

I'm pretty darn sure that there are people that DON'T endorce osama-bin bama, but I never seem to hear about them ? I wonder why ?... NOT!

Rooney is one of those lost in the past, blue collar: "my father was a democrat and so am I ", old people, that fails to realize that the people that call themselves democrats in 1950 are not the same party useing that "term" today.

Here is a link to the racist, exclusionary, "blacks only" church he claims allegiance too. you know, the one that has the reverend thats always da_mning America !....
