Taj Gibson's mother, Sharon, said the USC sophomore forward was returning home Saturday to Brooklyn, N.Y., to "have a family powwow" about whether to declare for the NBA draft. Gibson announced at the team banquet late last month that he would return for his junior season, but his mother said Friday that he remained undecided and wasn't leaning one way or the other.

Take the money kid! Nobody seems to want to play for Tim Floyd for more than one year anyway.

A good "Trojan" always plays it "safe" !!!

April 19, 2008  02:36 PM ET

My boy your already doomed. I can't think of one trojan that had/has made it in the league. Sorry, I forgot Baby Jordan and Scalabrini...

Gibson definitely needs to stay another year... Work on his game... I think if he is lucky... He is a late Round 1 pic... Have a good year next year... Move up the board... Then go...He has all the physcial tools... He just isn't ready yet

He's a good player but should stay one more year at least. Hell, he should get a degree if he can and then come out. he didn't make enough of an impact on that team this year to really be noticed. If Davon Jefferson is staying, he should definitely stay.

"have a family powwow" Uh oh. Sounds like he's being culturally insensitive to indians. Where do I go to protest.

Momma Latisha wants him to go for the money. Daddy walked out on them, but he should be back around soon now that the $$$$ is coming!

Decent player. Has some stuff to work on. If, he were to come out he'd at best be a NBDL player, for a few years. Stay and improve on your game. Hopefully, get that degree. One quick question, however, is if he's in Brooklyn now..will he get back to LA in enough time for classes?

test the waters, don't hire an agent.

April 20, 2008  05:57 AM ET

Be smart and stay in school.....You will end up in Europe if you don't. Not enough experience or talent to make it in the NBA right now!!!

April 20, 2008  05:59 PM ET

He is good but not great. Returning for one more year will only improve his draft stock.

Stay in school, TG's numbers went down as a soph. Get at least one more year. Dandash is right, probably a d-league guy right now. SC is safe as long as he doesn't hire an agent.
