It's refreshing to hear that Eli and Abby choose a quiet, intimate ceremony in a locale that held special meaning for them, rather than putting on a "show" for the media. Archie, Peyton, and Eli are all "class" acts in my book...unpretentious and with a strong sense of the importance of family and friends. As to the $500,000 price tag, so what? Look at the David Gest/Liza Minelli wedding farce and the price tag for that. At least, I'm reasonable sure only the bride wore eyeliner in this one.

When you factor in the cost of the plane (probably chartered), the cost of getting the 60 loved ones to the plane and overnight stays for the guests at a hotel in Mexico, it's very easy for guests to estimate a $500,000 price tag. I very much doubt these guests had to pay for anything out of their own pockets, except for the toaster or blender they bought for a wedding gift.

It' better than reading about some of the criminal acts of pro athletes we usually read about on a daily basis.
