The Dolphins don't have to make the No. 1 pick until 10 minutes after the NFL Draft begins Saturday, but it appears that they won't have to wait that long to get the player they want - Michigan offensive tackle Jake Long. Negotiations between the Dolphins and Long's agent, Tom Condon, have reached the point that a contract could be announced any day, an NFL source told The Palm Beach Post on Monday."

WOW. kikoapple has learned how to copy & paste. Bet your mommy's proud!

April 22, 2008  08:14 AM ET

I still think they would prefer to trade that #1 pick.

Dolphins have much better stories than Patriots or Jets.

****.com? Someone mentioned Jake Long joined the service a few weeks ago, it is an absolutely service for rich men to looking sexy women for extramarital relationship.. I just wonder what Jake Long is looking for over there while staying with his current guy? An affair or a Sugar mommy?

That "thing" flooded every topic I have read so far in multiple sports, is that a reportable violation?

A friend of mine left a comment about these sites and his comment was removed NOT the objectionable comment. Go figure.

Maybe Dolan (NY Knicks) is in charge of offensive comments.

Advice to Dophins: make the Long story short. (No more of this, please.)

April 22, 2008  02:56 PM ET

Looks like they have already signed him to a contract. Good for him, and a great example for future 1st picks.

April 22, 2008  03:51 PM ET

They needed help on the o-line. Say what you will about Parcell's, but he has a knack for not getting caught up in the hype and making good moves in the draft. Long is a beast.

Great job Jake Long. You signed your deal and can now go into mini and training camps without having your contract as a distraction. I wish other #1s would behave in this manner.

April 22, 2008  06:27 PM ET

Thank goodness with the signing of Jake Long by the Dolphins has "relieved" one headache from all these comments !!!

Plus his team mates in Miami won't resent him for holding out and screwing up the offensive line.
