Patriots face future DL dilemma

The Patriots face an interesting situation in the not-too-distant future. Both Richard Seymour and Vince Wilfork have contracts that expire after the 2009 season. Seymour will be 30, and if the Patriots let him reach free agency, he may go the way of Adam Vinatieri, Ty Law and Asante Samuel. Wilfork is the most important player on the defense, and the Pats will do everything in their power to extend him before he becomes a free agent.

Two years from now is forever in the NFL. To have those guys for sure for the next two years is the real story here, that is the good news for the Pats...

It's good to see Vince get so positive press. This guy is a beast up front. He was a flat out freak in high school. I saw him stand up a basket and drunk and a basketball (he was about 290 then). He was cat quick but had a nasty streak that scraed most HS players.

Vince has overcome so much. Both of his parents died in less than a year apart.
