The Yankees are hoping Alex Rodriguez's quick healing powers don't allow his strained right quad problem to linger. However, they aren't guaranteeing the injury suffered Sunday won't sideline the MVP third baseman and possibly land him on the disabled list.

trifecta!!! Pacman, Jose and A-Rod all on the same day!

April 22, 2008  08:32 AM ET

just take some more juice, you'll heal up in no time.

We cannot make it to the playoffs without 40, 120 from Arod.
NO ONE ELSE we have is capable of that
(playiff failure is another matter)

Stop badgering the guy becuse of his contract-
it's only $ - there's nop salary cap issues & we never gave up a prospect to get him- the steinbrenners wouldn't be giving US the leftover- they would keep it for themselves.

he plays EVERY day, works hard & plays good defense.....
what else do you want

maybe in his absence the yankees will learn to play good solid team ball......arods injury seems similiar to jeter's so if thats the case im not too worried

"....can't guarantee that he won't end up on the DL..."?

Is there anyone in baseball that you CAN guarantee won't end up on the DL?

Man, they worked to make that story a headline. Must've busted more than a few pencils.

DL or not if they are in the playoffs and he does really well, then I wont care how long he was on the DL.

Crimony--we are now reaching uncharted waters: even the Yankees fans are starting to question the relevance of some of these T & R Yankees stories.

Starting? I proposed a long time ago that FN just make it official, and launch the "A Yankee Said Something or Did Something" column. Every morning, it would highlight that day's Yankee non-news.

Yankee fans know that most of the Yankee-related stuff posted here is just to generate page hits, nothing more. FN gets an inordinate amount of its copy from the NY Post, and you can see the results.

this guy won't be out of their lineup long

April 22, 2008  06:19 PM ET

If A-Rod goes on the D.L. does Lloyds of London come into play???

His wife just gave birth, so he can be with her and rest his leg. He'll be out until at least Friday.
