Tech joins list chasing WR recruit

After receiving scholarship offers from nearly every national power throughout the country, Henry County receiver Jamal Patterson finally received some love earlier today from one of the two major colleges in his home state. "I got an offer from Georgia Tech today," Patterson said. Patterson, whose recruiting portfolio features offers from the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, LSU, South Carolina, and, as of Monday, Oregon, seemed pessimistic when asked if scholarship-strapped Georgia will also offer. "I haven't heard too much from Georgia," he said.

If you want to saty home, GA Tech may be your only answer; unless UGA pulls a Clemson and kicks someone off the team to give you a scholarship.

LSU is the way to go!!!

Uh oh, where's DSS? They didn't embolden "Georgia Tech".

Georgia Tech and Oregon would be horrible decisions!!! All they do is run and he would just be a blocker. I am sure he wants to go to Georgia, but if they don't come around he has a good list to choose from.

I love it, to "stay home" Ga Tech is only option, yet Clemson is just over the state line and is 2 hrs from Athens and Atlanta. Clemson is practically staying home too.

What's funny is that Florida's best QB prospect, just chose UGA over UF!

Why would a receiver go to Georgia Tech?..... I thought all the ones they had were de-committing or transfering. Maybe if they like to block a lot......

Are you kidding me? Oregon would be a bad choice? A blocking receiver? Give me a break. The Ducks would love another great receiver - to catch the ball - and provide the deep threat they need. We would love to have ya here in Duck Nation!

no way a top WR would go to Tech. Tech has already lost 3 WR's because of tranfers and one just quit football. All because Paul Johnson never passes. Tech will struggle the next few years because you can not win in a major conference just by running. With the speed of some of these defenses for example UGA will kill them by stopping the run.
