Seattle has joined New Orleans in pursuit of Jeremy Shockey. And while it's not clear what the Seahawks is willing to give up, they know the Giants have already rejected the Saints' offer of a second-round pick. Another possibility is the Falcons, who are looking to replace tight end Alge Crumpler. The Falcons, by the way, have three second-round picks (34th, 37th and 48th).

FU ****

Stay in NY Jeremy..................its your home and you fit. You are on the defending champions team so careful what you wish for, (ie Falcons)

are..are..

Shockey's not worth a 1st rounder. At his advanced age, in football terms, and his injury issues, that would be a mistake.

I think a 2nd is about right, and if you wanted to sweeten the pot, a 4th next year.

EXACTLY! A 4th next year that could become a 3rd depending on Shockey's performance

Saints are on the brink.

April 23, 2008  08:49 AM ET

Jeremy Shockey is an overpaid loud mouth , the giants should ship him to anyone who is willing, they already have Kevin "who's the" Boss anyways...

April 23, 2008  08:53 AM ET

Jeremy is an offensive weapon, something many teams dont even have as an option at TE. Stay in NY...

Sorry guys but a 4th rounder this year is about it,
unload his contract, true he is a blocking TE
you'll find many in the same mold and.
Thats about it, ever see him run routes?
I love Jeremy, would to drink with him but...
his dayz in NY are about done, cooked!
Eli couldn't find him!

April 23, 2008  09:11 AM ET

How soon we new yorkers forget!! Shockey gave us hope when there was very little to find. He has never bean used to his full potential. He is a winner no matter where he goes. A REAL FOOTBALL FAN

April 23, 2008  09:19 AM ET

I hope Shockey stays. Eli and Boss want him to stay. I doubt Boss could do what Shockey did last year.

They are better with him than with anything they can get for him. They need to use him better so he's happier.

April 23, 2008  09:42 AM ET

Keep Shockey at least one more year and see how it plays out unless you get an offer that blows you away.

Roman Harper & 2nd Rd draft pick i would take...

April 23, 2008  09:45 AM ET

Too bad the Saints lost out on him, we could really use a good TE.

April 23, 2008  09:57 AM ET

Shockey was the Out of Place Link with teh Giants...he'll do the same to another QB, brag about him and the U and then whine about not getting the ball because he runs bad routes and freestyles too much...he needs to play Arena football...

April 23, 2008  09:58 AM ET

I agree with whistler-
Giants aren't going to get much better than a 4th.
- coming off an injury, attitude, gints won without him

That's why they don't want to trade him- they won't get any value

shockey hates seatte, hes not going there

April 23, 2008  10:21 AM ET

If we give up Roman Harper for shockey i will cry.

Trade your first rounder and a 3rd and 4th rounder to the Rams move up to number 2 in the draft and take glen dorsey and really sure up that defense.

Giant won the SUPERBOWL without that cry baby.

He's a fabulous talent. Unfortunately his mouth is just as talented
