Pacman losing ground with NFL?

Although a trade that would send Pacman Jones from the Titans to the Cowboys had been stalled for a couple of weeks, new developments in the Las Vegas case seem likely to keep him on the sideline and not provide the closure he said he desires. Can NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell reinstate Jones while an investigation concerning his relationship to the man charged with the shooting is "totally still ongoing?" No one with the NFL is saying, but it seems unlikely that the suspension, which has been in place since last April, would be lifted when there is still potential for police or prosecutors to establish a tie between Jones and a man charged in the Feb. 19, 2007, shooting outside a strip club that left one man paralyzed.

He may not be reinstated......and we may not have to endure this much longer.

Now, if he can start 'losing ground' with T&R, we might be on to something!

hey everyone...as of right now we are over at the ocho cinco thread just in case ur lookin.

Poor Pacman, to build up your hopes just to see them get dashed on the rocks of adversity <sigh>. There's always next year.

April 23, 2008  10:24 AM ET

Its about time he started losing ground- you would have thought it would have happened earlier

April 23, 2008  11:00 AM ET

So basically Pacman is admitting he knew who shot the people at the club and did nothing about it except pay the shooter $15,000. Didn't he attend the NFL rookie meetings where they deal with these situations. Oh yeah, I forgot, he was making it rain at the strip club that day!

April 23, 2008  11:06 AM ET

I'm sure that Pacman will keep busy with his posse (Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde) for another year.

April 23, 2008  12:22 PM ET

Dont forget, the shooter was demanding money for "services rendered".

I think he paid the guy to go shoot someone.

But thats just me and I am a conspiricy theorist.
