Inside Walsh-NFL agreement

Matt Walsh is going to talk. Now the question is, what does he have to say? The NFL and the former Patriots employee, who has intimated he has additional information about the team's prohibited taping practices, reached a legal agreement yesterday, finally allowing him to come forward. Walsh, who now works as an assistant golf pro in Hawaii, will meet with Roger Goodell in the commissioner's New York office May 13, and according to terms of the agreement must turn over any materials that relate to allegations of the Patriots videotaping opponents - including videotapes and audiotapes - to the league on or before May 8. Walsh, who must certify to the league in writing that he has turned over all such materials, may retain a single copy of whatever he delivers to the league. In exchange for Walsh's cooperation, the league agreed to provide Walsh with legal indemnification, protecting him against future legal claims and damages and agreeing to pay for pursuant legal and travel costs, and also promised that neither the NFL nor the Patriots would sue him.

I think Mr.Walsh is going to wake up with a horses head lying next to him sometime before May 13th.

I heard that someone around Walsh was trying to make money with a book and it didn't work out. Walsh doesn't have a horse. Knowing the Patriots it could be something scary like a driver's or 1 wood's head!

Finally we will see an end to this story. Whatever is there whether it be damaging or nothing it will end this mess and allow us to move on.

Please say what you have to say and get this over with. It???s like a baby crying over spilled milk. Now it took 2 years to have some balls to come out with this now, something you should of did when it first came out. You better hard proof if not this is gone to blow up in his face.

April 24, 2008  11:02 AM ET

My gut tells me he probably doesn't have any really big stuff like Super Bowl tapes and stuff but he probably does have other regular season games.

April 24, 2008  11:13 AM ET

Does it really matter. The league has been playing favorites with the Patriots for years and have no credibility here. Why would they do something to them now? They failed to take appropriate action when the incident first came to light and the commish destroyed evidence. Given the Patriots have been handed three Super Bowls on a silver platter by the league or its officials, it will not be surprising if nothing comes of this regardless of what Walsh has to say.

Patriot Wars, II: The Reckoning

As Darth Belichick gazes out over the shambles of the Death Star, he knows that no matter what Emperor Goodell can do now,no matter how much Jango Walsh might recant, no matter how they rebuild the Death Star, he will never escape the Dark Cloud Planet that has always been his home. Lord Belichick finally realizes that there was never any light ahead. The bitterness is somehow ... sweet.

There you go again GWW, making my day. lol, thanks.

In order to get this resolved, Walsh has to crepe or get off the pot. On May 13, the creping will commence. Let's just hope that he doesn't bring a book with him and this turns into a long crepe.
