To get his misdemeanor probation cut short by five months, former Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Elijah Dukes spent 25 hours during the past week cleaning out cages and mopping at Lowry Park Zoo. Attorney Grady Irvin and a team official for the Nationals, who traded for Dukes in December, said the ballplayer also passed weekly drug tests for six months.

I hope he got some monkey **** on his elbow.

So now he no longer has the "anger" issues?
Now that he has cleaned out cages?
Yeah, I am sure we won't hear anything negative about him again...

April 25, 2008  09:43 AM ET

Just lock him in there....

April 25, 2008  09:48 AM ET

It will be entertaining to watch him bound around...make him clean his own feces. Cuz, if you have ever been to Tropicana Field, they obviously don't do that there.

April 25, 2008  09:48 AM ET

Lather him in peanut butter and put some candlelight on....

April 25, 2008  09:53 AM ET

Is he a blood or a crypt?

April 25, 2008  09:55 AM ET

I think he's a Jet!!! Or a capulet?

April 25, 2008  09:57 AM ET

Im excited for the next Redsox-Rays series. Dukes and Manny will circle each other snapping their fingers waiting for a RUMBLE!

then, if he does it a fourth time he has to do all that, but with only one wheel on the skates. Boy...this is one discipline system that will work.
