A little birdie says Tampa Bay was willing to guarantee new Vikings defensive end Jared Allen more per year in compensation than Minnesota but for fewer years. Allen's six-year deal is for $74.5 million, of which $31 million is guaranteed.

Good for Minnesota! Another guy who can't stay out of trouble with the law! What a pathetic and shameless organization.

PURPLE PANSIES SUCK!!!!!!

April 25, 2008  08:36 AM ET

"A little birdie". How cute.

April 25, 2008  08:45 AM ET

Besides McKinnie and what this guy did, we have no one else on our roster that has gotten in trouble. Pretty sure that's better than any other team in the league. The love boat is gone.....BY the way, this guy's press conference was ilarious, definitely a fan.

You guys have the dumbest coach in the league, however, I will admit that you guys do have the best QB in the league....HAHAHAHAHA........T-Jack is the man!

Could have the organization picked a more manly color? Purple?

KCMAC929: Please don't forget about the Onterrio Smith "Wizzenator" incident!!!! Way too funny..... Grossman > T-Jack

Big Mistake MN...Sounds like the same mistake you made when you got
that long time ago "Mr. Walker" and Vikings suffered since. When are
players going to help a franchise instead of getting every penny they can
and then they can't sign anyone else? Do not put all your dough in one
player period....

RE: CheatingPatriots - HAHA - Dude, you make the worst troll attempts on this web site. Keep trying, you'll get the hang of it.

Don't forget Dwight Smith. Guy was arrested several times after the 'boat' incident , so yes they have had suspect players. Although he was cut this year.

As for the trade. Totally worth it. What a weak group of players to draft this year. A win for the Vikings, though I don't like to admit that. The contract they gave Allen was ridiculous though.

April 25, 2008  12:03 PM ET

He wanted to much to play. And contracts that are cap heavy as a guy turns over 30 years of age don't make much sense. Glad the bucs did not get him, Kiffin can coach young talent. ANd the Bucs need is at Corner and WR first any way, not DE

If you like to drink and drive and party, who would you rather play for, a coach nickmaned "Chucky" who has the reputation for disipline or a coach who acts and resembles Homer Simpson? No brainer! Minnesota here I come. Good luck Minnesota, I hope you get your money's worth from Allen before he's suspended for a season for another DUI.

I think the little birdie flew the coop.

Hope this works out for the Vikings. Allen is a good purchase. Just look what it's done for Brad's hairline!!!!

CP- You must come from the same DNA as the guy who started the "first" comments. You must be a really lonely person. Keep your chin up bucko- Star Wars is coming back.

Are you packing your sandbags, scruffy?? Because your front teeth won't hold back your spit....

splurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

April 26, 2008  07:45 AM ET

Just a heads up, if Allen gets to September without a slip, he will have completed the two year NFL substance abuse program. He could still be punished for breaking the law (obviously), because Goodell doesn't mess around, but he will be on the same terms as everyone else.

Minnesota has the highest homosexual population in the Midwest. That must be why the Vikings chose purple.
