I think maybe, just maybe, Galaxy management has realized how much touring and playing friendlies has exhausted and wore out the team over the past year. Might be laying off a bit so players can get healthy and settled in to MLS first.

But then again, I could be wrong and maybe they just don't feel comfortable plaing a middle east country such as Iran.

I just noticed the Related Blog Post link for this page is for "Permanent Hair Loss Fix". I think every page with a picture of Landy should have that link. His little bald whiny **** is going nowhere near Iran. He cried his little bald head to sleep every night in Germany so how would he make it in Tehran?

You think the friendly would be in Tehran?! No way that would happen. Read the article, it says the friendly would take place in the US.

The friendly just doesn't make sense. The Iranian national team wouldn't likely draw a big crowd in the US and they aren't any better than any number of club or national teams that would draw large crowds. The only reason it would happen would be as a political move, but I don't understand why a sports franchise would want to throw their hat into that mess.

And GiantKillers, I think that people in the US are much more afraid of Iran than Iraq...

Actually there is a pretty large Iranian community in LA. It's not quite as large as Dearborn, but it's pretty large.

That said, I can't imagine it would be that huge a draw. It would be done for for the media attention honestly. Galaxy being the de facto representatives of the US vs. Iran. Operation Praying Mantis II :p

Abendidamanjad is gunna be pissed...

I agree with JMG84 in saying that the friendlies over the winter tired the crap outta the LA squad. I mean, those guys really didnt have an offseason. They need a rest

You guys already nailed it, although I don't think the Galaxy ought to be playing the Iranian national team, maybe Iran's best squad or something.

Hey, if they want Beckham, I honestly wouldn't care. He hasn't done a lot yet, he had better start to turn it around.

Not entirely his own fault. He can't head in his own stellar crosses. Or replace his rookie goalie. Or buy new defenders.

Yeah I agree that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will be pissed. He will probably call LA Galaxy gay for not accepting it.
