LeBron-Stevenson feud heats up

The feud between LeBron James and DeShawn Stevenson had a moment in the first half when Stevenson committed a flagrant 1 foul on a James drive. James and Stevenson walked toward each other, but they were quickly separated. There has been tension between Stevenson and James since Stevenson's "overrated" comments and since James compared himself to rapper Jay-Z and Stevenson to Soulja Boy. But the gloves almost came off after the hard foul. It reminded James of the no-blood, no-foul summer days at Elizabeth Park in Akron.

Of course a comeback is unlikely but they were pretty much doomed when Gilbert Arenas became was playing in limited minutes and still really rusty.

April 28, 2008  08:14 AM ET

Stevenson needs to get punched straight in the mouth

April 28, 2008  08:24 AM ET

Im tired of ( traveling on every play) LeBron...he gets way too many calls for a guy who is just a scorer....play some defense...win something.....stop traveling....stop crying.......then maybe....

April 28, 2008  08:26 AM ET

LeBron has finally ran into a guy that he cant bully....just how Rodman was to Shaq.....he cant deal with someone being physical with him.....I love the intensity of it...its like old time B-ball....not all this pretty boy s--t thats being played now..

April 28, 2008  08:34 AM ET

Can't bully Deshawn? He's almost avg. 30,8, and 6. The Wizards need to shut up and just play. Stop trying to get into Lebron's head and just play. They're trying to do too much one-on-one basketball. That's not their offense. Pass the ball around and let for a good shot.

April 28, 2008  08:35 AM ET

Stop trying to get into Lebron's head and just play.

jj730 | 04/28/08, 08:34 AM

zackly.....

April 28, 2008  08:50 AM ET

Lebron and the Cavs let their play do the talking while the Wizards talk to the press and blogs and forgot to play the game. Deshawn is garbage and needs to just play. Gilbert asked for the Cavs and once again they will be out of the playoffs thanks tol the Cavs.

April 28, 2008  08:59 AM ET

This whole thing is a joke, there is nothing tough about Lebron, and nothing talented about Stevenson

April 28, 2008  09:14 AM ET

Yeah, LeBron can't deal with someone being physical. That's why he had 34 pts, 12 boards and 7 assists. What a lousy game. DeShawn is really in his head. The Cavs are up 3-1 and LeBron is dominating this series and some of you are acting like the Wizards are up 3-1. LeBron isn't just a scorer. That's why he averaged 7 assists and 7 rebounds per game all year. DeShawn is a scrub.

April 28, 2008  09:19 AM ET

There is no doubt of how athletic Lebron James is......but this series has really exposed him for how big a baby he and the entire Cavs team really are. LBJ, Z, and Wally cry after every single call and no call. I think they might be worse than Rasheed in complaining to the refs. Lebron really is a pampered baby, he gets 90% of the calls his way, and still cries like a little girl. I wish people could watch the replay of him throwing an elbow right in Blatche's face in game 1 after the whistle was blown. There is no flagrant or techincal called on him, yet when stevenson accidentally clips his stupid headband, people act like it was the worst thing anyone has ever done. Then LBJ steps to him and again no T is called. Yet, in game 1 Jamison gets called for a T for doing the same thing Lebron had done. It makes the game not fun to watch when you know they are just pampering to Lebron's every need.

April 28, 2008  09:50 AM ET

LeBron should simply stay focused and play ball. After tonights game, Stevenson will go fishing, and LeBron will move on to his next challenge

April 28, 2008  09:52 AM ET

The WIZ.............need I say more. Flush them.

April 28, 2008  09:56 AM ET

Don't people know that DeShawn Stevenson stole his "signature move" from John Cena of the WWE?

"You can't see me!"

"My face is on fire" indeed!!!

April 28, 2008  10:03 AM ET

careful when playin street ball at the park with lebron or a situation might escalate...lebrons such a **** im sure hes gotten in plenty of fights playin ball on the "streets" before 8th grade when people realized he could walk on water and play ball. im glad someone is finally standing up to him keep it up stevenson, maybe lebron will realize that its not all about him

April 28, 2008  10:06 AM ET

to "ravens" poster, actually Lebron did get a technical in Game 1 when Haywood was standing over him. And, also, did LBJ not have 5 fouls yesterday? So, the refs are making the calls. Secondly, look at the replay. Since when does a person actually going for a real blocked shot do it with a closed fist? You can't tell me Stevenson wasn't trying to hit Lebron. Why wouldn't he hit get calls and complain to the refs. Even the Wiz coach Jordan said their goal was to be physical with Lebron and give "hard" fouls. Wiz fans need to stop complaining and worry about a team that consistently loses in the first round.

April 28, 2008  10:23 AM ET

Please get over the closed fist thing...they replayed that over and over and his fist wasn't closed. Lebron's just looking for the league to step in and take Stevenson off teh court for the next game.

April 28, 2008  10:29 AM ET

If the WIZ go down again to the CAVS....EDDIE JORDAN you have one more year BRAH!!!

April 28, 2008  10:32 AM ET

Raven and Schmoos

you guys are right on....and jj30..once again you come in riding the latest jock strap...I said that LBJ is a good scorer...but if he's truely that good, why are the ref's babying him....I mean he pushes off with his left hand on every play ( thats because he cant use it to shoot)..and he travels on every play....I say ..just call the games fairly....thats all...who?...besides a cheerleader like jj30 and his sister jayhawkfan1 wants to watch that...obviously they never played the game...
