He is older.....yet still immature. That is his money and he can do his thing. But he better play very well this season. Jamaal Charles is no joke. Charles will suprise a lot of people and end up being the starter for the Chiefs down the road.

Slow news day?

April 30, 2008  07:03 AM ET

Nice Larry. Blow your wad so you don't have anything left after football.

April 30, 2008  07:04 AM ET

What? this is outrageous! How can an NFL player be so irresponsible with his money!!!! and then give it away :)

Worst T&R in history

Is Club BED a strip club? Was Pacman there?

April 30, 2008  08:16 AM ET

I half expect these "Reporters" to post a man in various restrooms through out the Players home town so they can report on the length of their last turd.

This is just evidence that the saturation rate for NFL football is no where near being met.

April 30, 2008  08:19 AM ET

So because he spends 6 g's in a club on the party goers so they can have a good time too, he's immature? Give me a break! You may look at that as a lot of money, but i'm sure it's like $50 to him...

It's his money, not yours PS Forever... Let him spend it as he may... He aint askin you for none, so why do you care...

April 30, 2008  08:41 AM ET

Did T&R need a filler page?

April 30, 2008  08:48 AM ET

Ah, the time period after the draft and before training camp - when all the interesting NFL news is reported.

Jamaal Charles is going 2 do LJ like LJ did 2 Preist Holmes!

April 30, 2008  09:08 AM ET

Last time I checked Larry was over 21 and had a job that paid pretty well. Not sure why I have to read a story about him buying expensive champagne. Oh wait... I didn't read it!

April 30, 2008  09:18 AM ET

Sounds like a nice gesture.

How you gonna be a "playa" without cristal and courvoisier ?

Next they'll post a story about his new "grill" or his 20,000 dollar cronkin cup.

April 30, 2008  09:46 AM ET

larry johnson is the ultimate phony. he's trying to overcompensate for his suburban upbringing in the DC area and then in state college, PA. he's always tried to play the thug.

cuerazo

I'm not sure WHY anyone needs to "overcompensate for a suburban upbringing or for going to State College PA.

Or why playing a thug is desirable.

Most of those I see playing "Thug", are usually bottom of the barrel type people with out any real future. Which is ok cuz the world needs pole dancers and gas pumpers to.

Why couldn't this be a case of a guy with allot of money having a good time and enjoying the fruit of his labors. I don't know that Johnson has a history of breaking the law.
