Golf instructor Butch Harmon spoke to John Daly last week, but said he did not offer an apology for parting ways with the troubled golfer after reports that he had been drinking in a hospitality tent at a March PGA Tour event. Daly, at the Spanish Open in Seville, Spain, told a news conference Wednesday that Harmon had apologized to him after learning that the two-time major champion had "lost quite a bit of money through the stuff that you said."

What could be said about Daly that would cost him more money than he costs himself with his fat drunken **** - hole behavior?

I guess if you can sometimes walk the talk like Daly.......and can afford to be arrogant when you want to.......one could say you have found freedom...of sorts. And who are we to live Daly's life as we think it should be led....he decides as he obviously does. Frankly, Sir Robin, let's put you under the public's microscope and see what comments you elicit.........

I like Daly because frankly he cares not what you or I think, or for that matter, many others.......just a ball striker he is.

Daly's behavior is that of a full-blown alcoholic. Not only does he refuse to take responsibility for his own actions, he also blames his problems on others. This situation with Harmon is a prime example ??? also see the situation from the Arnold Palmer invitational where he missed his tee time. At this level of sport he should be responsible for himself and not expect others to help him along. It's just sad that in America, minority athletes are criticized day in and day out if they step out of line even once, whereas John Daly seems to have received a pass just because he hits the ball far and does what he wants. If he were black, his name would have been dragged through the mud ten-fold and he'd only be referred to as an afterthought. The level of scrutiny that Daly has seen in his career is kid's stuff compared to _________ (insert the name of your favorite NBA star here).

I'm always amazed when some butt-kissing fan chimes in with the idiotic blather - "I like Daly, because he's a free spirit - living life the way he wants to.

Here's a guy who has lost all of his sponsors, is missing cut after cut after cut, and, most alarmingly, is literally drinking himself to death, and some moron proclaims she/he "likes that about John."

Only another stupid drunk could embrace and cheer on such behavior.

The sad thing is John Daly's the only news worthy player on tour. The rest of the players on tour are a bunch of 'sticks in the mud' with no charisma.

Can you blame Daly's wife for getting stuffed by Clemens? Look at that picture again.
