Drogba responds to Liverpool jab

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba is none too pleased about Liverpool Manager Rafael Benitez's accusations. "Perhaps he is looking for something to destabilize us before the match. If he wants me to stay on my feet, maybe he should tell his defenders to stop hitting me."

Drogba and Chelsea responded with a 3-2 win last night.

Thank you for finals. Half days during that week, so I will be home in time to see the whole thing. Man U-Chelsea. IMO one of the most anticipated UEFA CL finals in history.

Hey, at least Benitez has a 4th place finish in the Premiership to go back to. So Liverpool can keep blaming the "American" Management instead of their unperforming manager.

Benitez was spot on. He remembers last year's ECL semi, second leg at Anfield. First half, right after Gerrard evens the tie. Drogba back into Gerrard left of the area. There appears to be slight contact with the back of his head to Gerrard's right shoulder. The cross strikes Drogba in the temple, and he goes down as if shot. He holds his head for a while, Gerrard gets the foul for, apparently, remaining stationary, and Drogba shows the ref his bruise WHERE THE BALL STRUCK IT. Drogba not only deserved a caution for simulation, but also a spanking, for such puerile behavior.
