Alexander interested in Bengals

Running back Shaun Alexander, cut loose by Seattle less than two weeks ago, will be contacting his favorite boyhood team, the Bengals. "Making calls to teams. Bengals are on our list!" Jim Steiner, Alexander's agent, told The Enquirer in an e-mail Wednesday. The Bengals did not use any of their 10 picks in last weekend's NFL Draft on a running back.

It's Hot!

It's Not!

The Bengals need youth at the running back position. Rudi Johnson has a lot of wear and tear on his body and Alexander is 30. But somebody will sign Alexander and if hes motivated he could add some quality depth at the position. I just dont see him playing anywhere close to the level he did in '05.

Alexander is looking for that last big pay day. He knows he is not a top performer anymore, he is just looking for a team that thinks he still can be...Not going to happen..He will only get an incentive laden contract now without much guaranteed money..

I Hope the bengals sign him, The Steelers will intimidate Alexander and shut down the Cincy running game, Alexander is soft and will quit against the Steeler D

Report Offensive Comment

Alexander would be a good fit for the Bengals although he cannot be considered a long term solution for their needs at running back! If he goes to the Bengals, I will also enjoy the Steelers defense knocking the snot out of him!

Hmm - a 30yr old running back, whose entire career was built by a devasting line playing against the worst division in the NFL, now wants to bring his history of injuries, dimished speed, and inability to catch out of the backfield to the Cincinatti Bungles. Should make for good times in the AFC North!

Report Offensive Comment

Anyway the Eagles can get him???

Report Offensive Comment

The Lions should take the risk. What do we have to lose?

Report Offensive Comment

bring him home to cincy

Report Offensive Comment

just about any team needing a RB should at least try for him. Theres nothing to lose really.

Report Offensive Comment

Except, millions of dollars.

Report Offensive Comment

Shaun should go to the Rams.

Report Offensive Comment

efizzle...thats wrong unless the team is stupid enough to guarantee the money.

Report Offensive Comment

arejaydub....don't the rams already have a great back?

Report Offensive Comment

hope he signs with the Bungholes. Stick a fork in Shaun - he's done. Can't wait for the Steel D to eat him up.

Report Offensive Comment

Why would the Eagles want him? We already have a steady line of solid backs behind Westbrook.

Alexander needs to look for a team that loves to churn out RB's and swap the line up regularly.

He should be calling Denver up.........

Report Offensive Comment

Don't you need a felony on your record to be eligible to play for the Bengals?

Report Offensive Comment

Bad idea. He needs to go somewhere else.

Report Offensive Comment

Buffalo could use a good back to split carries with Lynch.

Report Offensive Comment

I'm sure he will end up as a Patriot. They take all of the league's misfits and win with them.

Glad to see the 4th grade humor bust out early today. Between the bungholes, the Muts, and Roidger clemens, its pretty clear there must be a elementary school holiday today. Dumbass.
