Knicks interviewed Carlisle
A Rick Carlisle confidant reveals Donnie Walsh interviewed him Wednesday for the Knicks coaching job. That's a shock. A year ago at this time, the former Pacers' CEO collaborated with Larry Bird on Carlisle's Indiana firing. Whereas Mark Jackson remains the conspicuous leader, apparently Walsh intends to play the field before reaching a decision.

That's bringing some real fresh thinking to the Knicks Donnie! I can see now why the NBA was so active in getting you the job with the Knicks! You are a motherlode of new and innovative ideas!
And how about that Carlisle confidant?
Aren't confidants supposed to keep things confidential? Can't Carlisle control his pals and keep them from blabbing to the Post?

I'd hope to see Carlisle back in Detroit after Brown left, but I think it's too late now.
As for the ongoing search, go with a coach with experience, and probably buy out half the roster.
