Would COT have saved Franchitti?

One must wonder if Dario Franchitti would have been hurt if the Nationwide's "Car of Tomorrow" weren't still on the drawing board. Franchitti was driving to gain drafting experience for Sunday's race, but a hard drivers' side impact left him with a broken ankle. That's the catch-22 Cup owners face when their Sunday drivers choose race on Saturday. For Franchitti, who has struggled while transitioning from open wheel to Sprint Cup, the added seat time is crucial for him to gain experience.

Would of, could of, should of. Why are we getting news from a SW Iowa newspaper. I would expect a farm report from that paper.

Penned by Spuds the roving reporter. In other news Ms Mable's cow got loose again and she will be fined per the feces found in the town pool.

If you saw the hit, I think the car he had did a damn good job and for him to only have a broken ankle is incredible. Just what we need, another COT to water down the racing.

I did see it Turfman.....I heep asking who is this Gunderson that slammed him . The announcers said Sunday that it was unforgiveable given he was 8 secs behind Franchetti. Can seem to find out what happened to him etc..

I saw that hit too and was really happy to see him being helped to the ambulance, I thought for a minute he might be really hurt.
8SECONDS behind, Jackman that is a real story, even at Dega that is plenty of time ot avoid that hard a hit, that was some intense t-bone. I should have noticed that.

Thats what the announcers said before the Sprint race....they specifically said, "unforgiveable" but didnt mention his name. Will have to see if Gunderson is back in this weekend. I will be sure to by his T for the Charlotte race.
