Derrick Turnbow might not have pitched his last game for the Brewers. But he certainly has pitched his last one for awhile. In a move that was hardly surprising, the Brewers designated Turnbow for assignment Friday, removing him from their roster and recalling infielder/outfielder Joe Dillon from Class AAA Nashville.

Anyone with an ERA bigger than his shoe size needs to keep his mouth shut.

What happened to this guy over the last few years?

May 3, 2008  11:34 AM ET

Ahhhh, the annual pruning of over the hill players and the annual callup of a wide eyed rookie.... the circle of life.... buzzards circling around the carcass....

May 3, 2008  12:48 PM ET

Turnbow will be with the Braves or another team by next weekend.

Come to the Tigers where the higher the ERA the better for the pen... you'll be a god.

A nice haircut would help him greatly.

Its about time, he should have been cut last season.

OUCH! Sadly it wouldn't surprise me if the Braves picked him up..... if we had Yoda back, it might even work!

I'm not sure, but he looks like the guy that threw a beer can at me once!

May 3, 2008  10:48 PM ET

Throwing a beer can at Hillary Clinton is hardly shameful.

May 4, 2008  03:20 AM ET

Looks like the Brewers will be knocking on the Twins door if they are near contention at the trading deadline and Minnesota is out of it!!!

Dillion is hardly a wide eye rookie. He was up with them once Graf got hurt last year and he is 33 of something.

I remember, he missed me by a good foot!
