Harrison questioned in shooting

Posted: Saturday May 03, 2008 07:16AM ET

Marvin Harrison is part of an investigation into a shooting Tuesday that left two people injured outside a Philadelphia bar owned by the Colts wide receiver, police said this afternoon. Philadelphia police said Harrison was one of several people they had talked to, and that "we have no suspect at this time." An incident report was not released. "A gentleman was shot and this is an open investigation," said Lt. Frank Vanore, public information officer for the Philadelphia Police Department. A man suffered an injury to his hand, and a child suffered an eye injury from shattered glass resulting from the shooting. The child, whose age was not revealed, was treated and released from a local hospital.

It's Hot!

It's Not!

He was questioned only because it happened outside his bar. Nice way to insinuate a lie by the press.

I think there is more to it than that. He was arguing with the guy and ballistics point to a weapon similar to one he admits owning....uh oh

Its funny how they make the classiest perosn of all time look terrible. He has a clean track record and this is serious bull.

Smae thing happened when a woman looking to make money accused Jerome Bettis of rape

I went to training camp in sixth grade, and I dwarfed him. This gun that was shot was a 50 cal. I don't think he could get off 7 shots at a guy who was driving away. The more info that comes out, the more this investigation looks like bull.

Maybe the Bengals will see about trading Johnson for him even up.

Somehow, I bet Pacman Jones was involved.

Report Offensive Comment

actually Oso if you read the original article. The man was shot with a gun similar to the one Harrison owns. A Custom made Belgian gun of some sort. They went to the car wash that Harrison owns to question him since by that time, thats where he was, and he claimed the gun never left his house, then they found it in a wastebasket under some rags or something at the car wash.
Doesnt look too good.

It drives me crazy when the media blows things up before they know all the facts. I hope this does not tarnish the reputation of one of the NFL's great role models.

Report Offensive Comment

I hope your right Clarky.
I hope it comes out that Harrison had nothing to do with it.
Its not looking too good right now.

No one is above trouble. We all have the ability to do bad things and this whole story unfolding will prove that.

Report Offensive Comment

How smart is it for a high profile guy like him to own a bar? Even if he had nothing to do with it, I would think any law suit would find the place culpable. It does not show very good judgment on his part regardless...

Report Offensive Comment

It was his gun that fired the shots, ballistic tests proved that. I just think it was a case of self defense. This is a case where you have to wait for the facts to come to light, simply because Marvin is not known to have many problems off the field.

Report Offensive Comment

then why lie about it to the police?
and why when the argument took place inside the bar, did Harrison follow him outside?
the smart thing to do was to let the jerk leave and then call the cops.
Dont follow him out.
Thats just looking for trouble to start

He got questioned because witnesses pointed at him firing the gun... (reports says he has 28 guns registered under his name
the one in question was found in a bucket in his car wash (you own a bar in the ghetto, you own a car wash in the ghetto)...
wonder if the bucket was full of soapy water!!! way to clean yourself of the problem.
reports says not only the target got hit also a child got hit from glass off the target car... you can defend him but looks like he is involved enough in the issue.
that happened tuesday at 5:00 pm and now is we are talking about this... lotsa hush, hush but you know whatever happens in the hood... doesn't stay in the hood!!!

How is the media blowing this up? There was a shooting outside Harrison's bar. His gun fired the shots. There was an argument beforehand. If that's not news when a famous person is involved, what is?

I understand I don't have that many underwear and I use a diferent one every day... yet 28 guns???? who he worship???? Is that a money thing????
