Wait. Eto'o, Henry, Deco AND Gudjohnsen for Fabregas? ****?!?!?!

They won't get him with that sort of bid. Fabregas won't be leaving Arsenal. He's happy there, he's in a starring role there, and Wenger has already made it emphatically clear that priority #1 for him is to preserve his squad as it currently is, and only add one or two new players to the core stars on the team (of which Fabregas is arguably the biggest and most crucial to the team).

Madrid and Barcelona keep doing this crap. They think they can steal away the younger stars from the English clubs, but they just don't seem to get the new reality ot today in which the EPL is the place where all the young stars want to be. Madrid and Barcelona are going to have to start being satisfied with picking up the aging late 20s - early 30s stars, because that's about all they're gonna be able to get for at least the next few years.

I love that, lets give him up, and try and take him back for a price 10 times what we let him go for. Smart businessmen over there.

yeah and i hate the yankees so its all good. no way this happens. no way in hell. arsene would never let cesc leave and theres no way he's worth deco (15 million pounds), eto'o (30 million pounds), gudjohnsen (10 million pounds), and henry (15 million pounds) put together. he is a top 5 footballer in the world, but even cronaldo isn't worth 70 million pounds (140 million dollars).

And so the offseason transfer rumors start. Thierry Henry will return to Arsenal when George Best does to Old Trafford.

you must be joking, right? Arsenal is the only team I can really tolerate watching in the Prem, but they are no Barca. If a player has a choice to play for Barca or Arsenal, they pick Barca. It's a bigger, more successful club by a pretty fair margin. It also doesn't help Arsenal's cause that they pay their players like crap and are happy to continue doing so. (and should so long as Wenger continues developing young players who are ready to compete right away)

Fabregas, welcome (back) to Catalonia.

He did say that. Though I think their elections are this summer so he might be out. Plus something tells me that a player like Fabregas might warrant an exception.

I still dont see it happening, though.

anybody who knows anything knows that fabs dream is to play in his home country. what some of you are saying is that john terry would want to stay at lazio when a huge offer was made for him at chelsea,,, just an example. he would be closer to family and friends. second of all barca is going to throw mountains of money and in my opinion deco and gudjohnson, at arsenal. i think the eto part of the rumor is just to add a bit more intrigue to the story, but barca is looking at benzema and a few other strikers. i will die a barca fan, it has been my home and team for ages, but sammy eto is the most injury prone, crybaby in barca history. he should be a 25 goal scorer and he's sitting at like 14. i know that rijkaard is the problem and even though he said he is not leaving, you go two years at barcelona with not a SINGLE trophy, you're done! oh yeah, you epl fans stop whinning, seriously. fabs is really the missing piece of the puzzle at barca, they have not really had an impact true midfielder in the recent past to guide them. if rijkaard was coaching he would put him on the front line with messi and eto.
