'Booger' on Steelers radar

Anthony "Booger" McFarland may still be an option for the Steelers and the team may have more flexibility after June 2 when teams can cut players and not have the salaries they were due to make count against the cap.

Booger would probably be a good pickup for any team.

Report Offensive CommentPicking and Booger should not be used in the same sentence.

Report Offensive CommentYeah, if they can get him on the cheap, why not do it since depth on the d-line is a concern? You have to think that Najeh's contract is a strong candidate to come off the books now that they've drafted Mendenhall and signed Moore.
Mahan's another candidate if they don't think he's got a legitimate chance at winning the starting center or left guard spot.

Report Offensive CommentHe's a solid DT

Report Offensive CommentYou need to use a non-abrasive cleaner to get boogers off of any screen..especially radars.

Report Offensive CommentBooger's been on the backburner since he failed his physcial. There was/is a rumor out there that there's a Gentleman's agreement between him and Tomlin (his former coach) that the team will sign him if/when he can pass his physical. That should be some time this summer. He's a quality DT when healthy.

Report Offensive CommentBengals don't want him. He's not been arrested enough.

Report Offensive CommentBooger sounds more like a Bengals pickup to me.

Report Offensive Commentab, funny. so original and witty too.
look up the nfl arrest records for 2007, get back to us when you know the top 10 teams, which the bengals weren't in.

Report Offensive CommentBig mistake in the headline - he is not on the radar he's got the old ankle bracelet keeping him company !!!

Report Offensive Commentpw,
NO team should have as many players getting arrested as the Bengals have somewhat recently.
And I think Marvin Lewis would agree.
Don't you?

Report Offensive CommentSteelers to take 'BOOGER'? you should never steal someones booger.
Caliban | 05/04/08, 01:23 PM
Report Offensive Commentblack and gold, there are alot more teams with that problem currently than they bengals. but you find a ton of people on here living in 2006 or talking smack with no facts.
i just mark it up to lemming mentality.

Report Offensive CommentI'd like to hear them announce that one on the Heinz PA system. That was a tackle by...BOOOOOOGEERR.
madhatter | 05/04/08, 03:20 PM
Report Offensive CommentFunny you should mention lemming mentality, seeing as it seems the bengals' roster has seemingly fallen into the pattern of getting arrested one after the other after the other...

Report Offensive Commenthaha seems seemingly...maybe I need to take a minute to proofread
NT69 | 05/04/08, 03:28 PM
Report Offensive CommentThe Steelers should pick him up because they need defensive line help!
DMitch | 05/04/08, 07:27 PM
Report Offensive Commentpw, please enlighten us with your witticisms and wisdom. Perhaps you'll tell us which teams have had more players arrested than the Bengals. Perhaps you'll explain the lemming mentality to those individuals that are inferior to your obvious intellectual prowess. Or, maybe, you'll consider this; the arrests in Cincinnati are publicized more because (1) Cincinnati is a much smaller market than most NFL cities, and thus player arrests, when they happen, are magnified, and (2) the Bengals just haven't been very good lately. It's easier to take the thuggery when you're team is beating the hell out of the opponent on a weekly basis.
Honest Abraham | 05/04/08, 09:21 PM
Report Offensive CommentHe can still play but nobody would want him for his current cap number. That I believe is the main reason the Colts released him.
