Steelers jinxed by Mendenhall injury?
Posted: Sunday May 04, 2008 08:47AM ET
The minicamp jinx struck another first-round draft choice of the Steelers. As with linebacker Lawrence Timmons last year, halfback Rashard Mendenhall came down with an injury after his first day of minicamp and did not practice yesterday. Mendenhall has a hamstring injury, and coach Mike Tomlin believes the top rookies do have a problem with injuries in minicamps.

Wow...I'm not here to defend HotMom, but that was a horrible attempt at a comeback. So madhatter, how's that GED coming along?

Report Offensive CommentRashard Mendenhall is smart.....getting injured and sitting on the sideline is better than getting the snot kicked out of him on Week 1.

Report Offensive CommentI still say the steelers are going to have loads of trouble this year because they failed to help their OL. Every analysts raves about drafting 2 specialty positions, but their line was bad last year and that was with Faneca. Their line will be horrible this year.
Hehwood Jiblohme | 05/05/08, 12:01 AM
Report Offensive CommentYeah but you choose to live in Florida so your head is baked as dry as Hehwood. The Steelers will be fine. That horrible O Line got them to the playoffs and a lucky 4th down scrambe by Garrard from getting into the divisional round.

Report Offensive CommentBig surprise, a rookie wants to make an impression and gives a little extra effort. I don't think that's a bad story, it shows he is still a bit hungry.
